Clan Rookoath was a clan of dwarves who resided in the Fairheight Range of Alaron within the Moonshae Isles.[1][3]
History[]
Following the return of Sarifal in the late 14th century DR, Clan Rookoath offered shelter to the dwarves of Clan Rustfire when their home in Gwynneth was overrun by unseelie fey. Together they faced the threat of Rustfire's enemies as they attempted to attack Alaron via the Tunnels of Dwarvenhome.[1]
By the late 15th century DR, the two clans were locked in a desperate war against the orcs, trolls, and other monsters of the mountains being led by a young shadow dragon. In the Year of the Ageless One, 1479 DR,[note 1] they sent three scouts southward to petition King Derid Kendrick of Callidyrr for aid, who was not known to be aware of their plight. It was hoped that they could offer to aid him with his own struggles if he could first help save their realm.[1] By the Year of the Warrior Princess, 1489 DR, adventurers had helped the dwarves to secure victories in their war, but the dwarves had come to reject any overtures of alliance from King Derid.[3]
