Clan Rustfire was a clan of dwarves who resided in the Moonshae Isles. As of the late 15th century DR, they shared the Fairheight Range of Alaron with Clan Rookoath.[1][3]
History[]
Clan Rustfire had resided on Gwynneth as of the Year of Risen Elfkin, 1375 DR, however following the return of Sarifal, they were attacked by evil fey and driven from their home. They fled through the Tunnels of Dwarvenhome to join Clan Rookoath on Alaron, where their pursuers attempted to follow them.[1]
By the late 15th century DR, the two clans were locked in a desperate war against the orcs, trolls, and other monsters of the mountains being led by a young shadow dragon. In the Year of the Ageless One, 1479 DR,[note 1] they sent three scouts southward to petition King Derid Kendrick of Callidyrr for aid, who was not known to be aware of their plight. It was hoped that they could offer to aid him with his own struggles if he could first help save their realm.[1] By the Year of the Warrior Princess, 1489 DR, adventurers had helped the dwarves to secure victories in their war, but the dwarves had come to reject any overtures of alliance from King Derid.[3]
