The Cliffgate was a landmark located along the southeastern portion of the outer wall of Baldur's Gate.[1] It served as a passageway connecting the Lower City to the isolated district of Tumbledown in the Outer City.[2]
The gate also allowed access to the cliffs that overlooked the northern shore of the River Chionthar,[2] along with the statue known as Balduran Looks out to Sea.[1]
