Cloaks of fortification were created with various enchantment levels but all increased the wearer's defense in combat and against effects of mundane and magical nature.[1]
History[]
Cloaks of fortification were created after one of the high priestesses of Selûne was assassinated by members of the Mask's faith. The Church of Selûne invested time and money into developing this method of protection. Eventually, the word of the cloaks' powers spread and attracted the attention of thieves and rogues who wanted them for themselves. This, in turn, aggravated the cases of violence against Selûnites.[1]
By the late 14th century DR, cloaks of fortification found their way into the masses and could be found or purchased from merchants and some temples offered them as boons.[1]
