Coroniir, or "crowns" in Common, was an elven board game that resembled a Crown War battle between two coronals. The human game of lanceboard (chess) was derived from this game.[1]
History[]
In 1368 DR,[note 1] Gorion's Ward borrowed a coroniir set from Mizhena in order to challenge Tristian, an avid fan of the game. Having a mild gambling addiction, Tristan was able to be convinced by Gorion's Ward to bet his holy symbol on the game.[2]
The lich Ezzat owned a Coroniir set, which he sometimes played with his staff of frost.[3]
