Corwell Firth was an inlet of the Trackless Sea located off the island of Gwynneth within the Moonshae Isles.[1][2][3][4]
Description[]
The Firth was dotted with shoals and pinnacles that made it somewhat treacherous to navigate during prevailing winds. However, this was worth it to reach the harbor at the end of the Firth where Caer Corwell sat, which was one of the only safe harbors on western Gwynneth.[8]
Geography[]
Corwell Firth formed a large natural harbor for the southeastern region of Gwynneth. The inlet measured roughly 50 miles (80 kilometers) from its beginning near the Meirig Peatlands to its end at Caer Corwell.[1][2][3][4]
Flora & Fauna[]
The Firth was home to dolphins, sea gulls, and sea otters.[8]
History[]
During the height of the kingdom of Corwell, the Firth was crowded with merchant vessels and ships of war. By the late 15th century DR, long after Corwell's fall, the Firth was littered with the wrecks of such ships.[8]
