This article is about the 6th century plague. For the monster of the same name, see vampiric mist.
The Crimson Death was a devastating outbreak of a magical disease or curse that struck Calimshan and the Lake of Steam in the Year of the Enigma, 755 DR.[1]
Effects[]
Individuals afflicted with the Crimson Death bled to death before transforming into a crimson death, which then sought victims of its own to replace the blood it had lost.[1]
History[]
The plague struck the regions around Almraiven, Ankhapur, Mintar, Saelmur, and Suldolphor. While each of these cities suffered casualties of about 16%, the death toll across the broader area approached 41%.[1]
