Cucumbers was a type of cylindrical fruit that grew on a creeping vine plant of the same name.

Availability[]

Growing[]

Cucumbers were grown in the lands of Faerûn,[2][3][4] Kara-Tur,[1] and Zakhara,[5][6]

In Sembia, cucumbers were a typical crop grown in a family-run farm,[7][8] often grown in the same farm plot as other vegetables.[8]

In Zakhara, crops of cucumbers and other vegetables were grown around the House Fajirik military camp on the Empty Glass Battlefield.[9]

Selling[]

In the late 1300s DR, cucumbers were among the fruits and vegetables sold by the grocer Jack from a stall in the marketplace of Ravens Bluff in the Vast, at three for 5 sp.[10]

Cucumbers were also sold by grocers in the marketplace of Westgate around 1486 DR.[11]

  • Kappas, a race of creatures native to Kara-Tur, were quite fond of cucumber and melon and might be appeased by being given some.[21][22][23]
