Daggers of impaling were enchanted daggers found in the city of Waterdeep and the mega-dungeon of Undermountain circa 1370 DR.[1]

Popular among thieves, daggers of impaling were enchanted +2 weapons. Their designs made it easier to deal devastating impaling damage with a lucky strike. Unlike other weapons, these blades' magic lodged them in the open gashing would, continuing to harm the targets until ripped out. This property made them useful as a throwing weapon.[1][2]
History[]
As of the Year of the Tankard, 1370 DR, daggers of impaling gained some popularity among unsavory elements of the City of Splendors and inhabitants of Undermountain, including the recently resurfaced Shadow Thieves guild.[1]
