Defender greataxes were rare enchanted weapons imbued with offensive and defensive magics, found in the Western Heartlands circa the late 15th century DR.[1]
Powers[]
A typical defender greataxes possessed a +2 enchantment that guided the axe towards its intended targets and increased its damage. Its defensive magic allowed the wielder decreased the weapon's enchantment to +1 and turn it into a magical boost to their defense.[1]
History[]
In the Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR, a defender greataxe was in stock among the Harper quartermaster Talli's goods during her time accompanying the Harper hero Jaheira into the deadly Shadow-cursed Lands that swallowed the Moonrise Towers.[1]
