Deior Rasthavin (pronounced: /ˈdeɪɔːr ˈrɑːsthɑːvɪn/ DAY-ore RAST-hah-vin[3]) was a sage and historian of Selgaunt and a regional agent of the Moonstars in the Year of the Tankard, 1370 DR.[1]

Deior was a quiet and soft-spoken man, with a great interest in history and politic of the Sea of Fallen Stars[1]
History[]
Deior was a wizard and a sage from a wealthy family of Selgaunt in Sembia. His field of research was the history and the politic of the humanity in the Inner Sea region, heraldry, and geneology.[4] For his position Dejor was invited to all parties of the city and there he gathered information for the Moonstars.[1]
Activities[]
Deior's field of study was humankind in the Sea of Fallen Stars area, he knew all about history, lengends, and folklore of the region, genealogy, politics, and (as a sideline) heraldry, signs, and sigils. He maintained a low profile but was well considered in all Realms. Thank to his wealth he seldom sponsored adventuring parties.[2]
Relationship[]
Deior's two bodyguards, Hillur and Rheeokk, vigilated that nobody disturbed their master's studies.[2]
