In the Year of the Banner, 1368 DR, he and other clergy of Chauntea, Helm, and Selûne from around the region got together and started an organization called the Fellowship of the Purple Staff whose aim was to bring about a new country they called the Holy Realm.[1] They planned to occupy and settle in the portion of the Gulthmere Forest east of Cedarsproke. Over time, they acquired members from the churches of Lathander and Sune, and convinced the followers of Nobanion that they would care for the forest and its creatures.[3]
