Delvar was young-looking, with a full, brown beard.[1]

Of note, he was armed with a battle axe.[1]

He was an adventurer.[1] He sometimes still drank with his friend Gart.[2]
Relationships[]
Delvar was a friend of Gart Stonenose, whom he used to adventure with.[2]
The adventuring party he was a part of in Freedale included him alongside Beldar, Silverleaf Halfmoon, Morganth, Slinker, and Lordan.[1]
History[]
Prior to Gart settling in, he and Delvar used to adventure together.[2]
In the mid-to-late 14th century DR, Delvar Ironfist was part of an adventuring group in Freedale that may have rescued Taran Goldenstar, recovered the Orb of dragonkind, faced Gunter Weiss in Harrow Hill, and perhaps explored Azazabus' dungeon under Mount Dread.[1]

Background[]
Delvar Ironfist is one of the sample adventurers provided for play with Introduction to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. An identical sheet was introduced in First Quest. In both sheets, the cover art from The Crystal Shard is reused to illustrate Beldar himself; inside the book itself, the illustrations for Quest are drawn by Jeff Butler, and by Walter Velez in Introduction.
