Devic was a language spoken by the inhabitants of the city of Solon and the kingdom of Ulgarth in southeast Faerûn. It was found in the region between Solon and the Dustwall in the north, Xontuil Bay and the Great Sea in the west, and the Yehimal Mountains in the east.[1] It was categorized as part of the Imaskari languages group, in the Durpari languages subgroup.[2]
Devic was primarily the language of Ulgarth, where the Ulgarthic dialect was spoken. However, the Solonese dialect was used in Solon.[1][3][4] It was associated with the Devic culture of Solon.[5]
