David S. LaForce, better known by the nickname Diesel is an artist and cartographer whose maps appeared in many TSR, Inc. products.
Background[]
LaForce was born on August 10, 1959. He was given the nickname "Diesel" because several people at TSR were named David, and his initials could be pronounced like "diesel".
Career[]
LaForce began working for TSR in 1979, beginning in their shipping department before it was discovered that he loved to draw. He was then hired to work for the art department and remained with TSR until 1998.
