A dinner bell was a type of very small bell, traditionally used to announce that the meal of dinner was being served.[1]

- Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue sold both brass and silver dinner bells under its "Household Accoutrements" section, at prices of 1 electrum piece and 1 gold piece respectively. Advertised as being cast from the finest samples of either metal, these bells notably had bone handles that were carved in the shape of a swan's head.[1]
