This article is about the cantrip. For Larloch's powerful spell, see devastate undead.
Disrupt undead was an arcane cantrip that hurt undead creatures or made them more susceptible to harm.[1][2]
Effects[]
Prior to the Spellplague, this cantrip did a small amount of damage to an undead creature at a range of 25 feet (7.6 meters) (farther for more experienced casters) by firing a ray of positive energy at it. If the target resisted the spell, it had no effect.[2] After the Spellplague, this cantrip instead reduced the protection provided by the dark forces that animated and shielded the undead creature.[1]
Components[]
This cantrip required only verbal and somatic components to cast.[2]
Notable Users[]
- Disrupt undead was known to the necromancer Thavok Drusuvious, leader of the Waterdeep cell of the Cult of the Dragon in the Year of Rogue Dragons, 1373 DR.[5]
