Divine Fury was the name given to a number of magical katanas that appeared in northwest Faerûn circa 1372 DR.[1][2]
History[]
Although unconfirmed, in the account of Kaa Mihnd, these swords were forged from fallen stars that crashed into the square of a poor fishing village somewhere. Kaa Mihnd and the other villagers used these swords to rise up against their rich overlord and reclaim their ancestral land.[1][2]
Description[]
These katanas bore either a wide guard[1] or a brown cloth wrapped around the lower blade.[2]
Powers[]
A Divine Fury was a +3 katana that inflicted electrical burns and could stun an opponent for a dozen seconds.[1][2]
Appendix[]
Background[]
With a similar name and powers, Divine Fury may be based on Celestial Fury but with a different story, likely due to something lost in adaptation. This was separately adapted as Celestial Fury for Baldur's Gate II.
