Career[]
Turnbill began his career as a high-school math teacher, but eventually began working in the game design industry. He was one of the initial contributors to the gaming magazine White Dwarf, to which he regularly wrote articles as part of a feature called "The Fiend Factory". Gary Gygax was a fan of this column, and he hired Turnbull to join TSR to manage its operations in the UK and to be the editor of a second Monster Manual based on "The Fiend Factory". This book became the 1st edition Fiend Folio.[1]
