Doomstrike was an item enchantment that could be applied to a weapon.[1]
Description[]
Frequently, doomstrike weapons were decorated with artful, yet sinister, decoration. However, what they all had in common was a coating of blue-black frost or rime on the blade or head of the weapon.[1]
Powers[]
Warriors who valued strength, like the drow who learned the z'ress a'thalak-style,[2] learned how to cleave through their enemies to attack another enemy after felling one and also how to sunder weapons and other objects in effective fashion.[3] Normally, it was impossible for a warrior to combine these feats of strength. However, a doomstrike weapon made it possible. A skillful warrior, who mastered the art of destroying their enemies' weapons, could continue to cleave into the enemy after destroying the enemy's weapon.[1]
Creation[]
This property could be added by a caster who was trained in the creation of magical arms and armors, knew how to cast shatter, and was capable of doing the aforementioned physical feat of cleaving into a second enemy after felling the first.[1]
Notable Owners[]
- Imbrar I, the second king of the Heltharn Dynasty, owned the Greatsword of Impiltur, which had the doomstrike property.[4]
