Final Exam is a short story by Dave Gross for Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition. The story was published on the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition website and later reprinted in Dragon+ #22.
Summary[]
The story tells about Neera, a wild mage user, studying arcane arts in Highbough, located in the High Forest. Her each and every attempt to show her skills ends in a failure. Over time her classmates turn on her in fear and anger, accusing her of never paying attention and being dangerous. Horrified by what she's done and the fear she sees on their faces, Neera is left feeling isolated and disgusted with herself.
