Appendix[]
Background[]
- According to Wolfgang Baur, this adventure was inspired by the John Keats poem Ode on Melancholy.[1]
- Notably, this adventure begins by recommending one own the sourcebooks The Savage Frontier and Waterdeep and the North.[1]
- This adventure does not begin in a set location. Rather, it suggests beginning in any metropolis in northwest Faerûn. Giving Neverwinter, Silverymoon, and Waterdeep as examples.[2]
- The wand of petrification in this adventure was undescribed, only later being detailed in the Letters Column of Dungeon #22.
