Durlan was a moon elven[1] wizard inhabiting Selgaunt in the mid-to-late 14th century DR.[2]

This ring is not something to be taken lightly. There is a price to this magic. You will feel great pain, more severe than anything you can imagine, and it will leave you spent, but the ring will keep you safe from any evil magic.
— Durlan to Thazienne Uskevren[3]

Activities[]

Durlan was considered a good and noble person. He spent his time working for the good of all beings.[2]

Hisotry[]

Some years before the Year of Wild Magic, 1372 DR, Durlan met Thazienne Uskevren, a daughter of the Uskevren family of Selgaunt. The noble's daughter spent her childhood on the unsavory streets where she mastered her thieves's skills. The moon elf was found of the child, and after she saved a baby from the midden,[4] Durlan gifted her an emerald[5] ring of projection that one day saved Thazi's life.[1]
