Dying curse was a protection spell of the southern magic tradition that allowed a caster to have vengeance after death.[2][3][note 1]
Effects
Anyone who killed the caster would suffer the effects of a major curse spell. The spell took effect even if the caster was later resurrected.[2][3] The curse was permanent until it was removed.[1]
The only way to remove the curse was by a wish,[2][3] remove bane,[2][3] or remove major curse[1] spell.
Components
This spell required verbal and somatic components.[1][2][3]
