Ellyn Harbreeze was the proprietor of Harbreeze Bakery in the Upper City of Baldur's Gate during the late 15th century DR. She was famous as the most notorious local gossip.[1][2]
Description[]
She had red hair and was overweight, but was described as plump rather than fat.[1]
Personality[]
Ellyn was talkative and gregarious, known to approach strangers in the Upper City to chat with them. She would invite adventurers for tea at her bakery when she found them intriguing or likely to know some juicy rumors.[3] She was generally recognized as the biggest gossip in Baldur's Gate, and was likely to know anything and everything about her patriar clients and their upscale social circles.[1] It was said that anything she knew, each and every one of her customers would know by the next morning.[2]
Activities[]
From her bakery, Ellyn served the residents of the Upper City sophisticated pastries and teas that made full use of the exotic spices that passed through Baldur's Gate, making her shop a cherished institution that provided her with plenty of gossiping customers.[1][2]
Anyone who wanted to know anything about goings on in Baldur's Gate was advised to go straight to Ellyn first,[1] although her propensity for sharing other peoples' business was not always good for her own safety.[2]
