Embro Cymrych II was High King of the Moonshae Isles in the early-to-mid 7th century DR.[1]
Relationships[]
He was a member of the Cymrych Dynasty and the son of his predecessor, High King Embro I. His successor was his first son, Alec. His second son, Samuel, would also go on to become High King after the death of Alec and of Alec's son.[1]
History[]
Embro II assumed the throne of the High King in the Year of the Shattered Scepter, 614 DR, following the death of his father.[1]
During his reign, he managed to establish a temporary peace with his Northmen rivals.[1] However, in the seventh year of his reign, his Princess Bridget of Callidyrr travelled to Norland to wed Prince Scothgar of Rogarsheim, but she and her entourage disappeared without a trace. Both the High King and the Northmen blamed each other for this event, causing relations to sour.[2]
Embro II ruled for eighteen years before being killed in battle by King Stromm of Norland in the Year of the Glass Eye, 749 DR.[1]
