Expeditious retreat was an evocation spell that made the caster faster.
Effect[]
The caster became a lot quicker being able to walk, run or shift doubly as fast as normal. The length of the spell's effect varied depending on what type of magical consistency was in the world. Before the Spellplague it lasted longer depending on skill[4]. After the Spellplague, it lasted very briefly[3], and after the Second Sundering it lasted up to 10 minutes.[6]
Components[]
Only vocal and somatic components where needed.[4][3] [6]
