The Faceless Guards were the guardians of the Gate of Heaven within the Yikarian Empire in 1367 DR.[note 1][1]

The elite yak-folk warriors of the Faceless Guard were tasked with protecting the Gate of Heaven, the provincial heart of the Empire that housed the capital city of Nathong as well as the Emperor of the Lotus Throne and his court.[1]

Members of the Faceless Guard donned blank masks to honor their savage god. They possessed skills both martial and arcane, making them formidable foes on any battlefield. The Faceless Guard was composed entirely of yak-folk.[1]
