The demon was seen on the High Road west of Eveningstar in the mid-1480s DR, around the time of the Sschindylryn invasion of Eveningstar. It attacked a traveling merchant and was busy wrecking his cart when passers-by interrupted it, upon which it stole the key to the merchant's chest and attempted to flee the scene with the key in its mouth.[1]
