The Fane of Lolth was a natural cavern located in the Underdark beneath Shadowdale.[1]

It could be found in the Upperdark region known as the Shadowdark.[1]
Interior[]
The Fane of Lolth was a natural cavern that could only be accessed via a hole in the ceiling of a lower, flooded passage. Every surface of the cavern was covered in spiders, which issued forth in a great geyser of spiders from the Font of Spiders,[1] a planar touchstone situated in the room.[1][2]
History[]
The Fane was the historical foundation of drow influence in the Shadowdark and Land Under Shadow (as Shadowdale was previously known).[1]
In the Year of Risen Elfkin, 1375 DR, Greyanna Dhuurniv communed with Lolth here, while House Dhuurniv was allied with the Zhentarim occupying Shadowdale, whilst protected by the mummy of Azmaer Dhuurniv.[1]
The Fane was later raided by the rebels working to free Shadowdale from Zhentarim occupation.[1]
