Finara was a spellscar pilgrim. In 1396 DR, she joined Raidon Kane and Hadyn in a pilgrimage to the Spellscarred land near Ormpetarr; after Hadyn's death, she backed down, and became both a member of the Order of Blue Fire and an innkeeper.[3][2]
Description[]
In 1396 DR, she was gray-haired.[1] By 1479 DR, she was elderly.[2]
Personality[]
Finara was initially resolute to learn the ways of magic again after the collapse of the Weave, or die trying.[1] However, confronted with a dying comrade, she chose to limit the risks.[3]
Abilities[]
Finara had been a mage before the Spellplague.[1]
Possessions[]
Before the Spellplague, Finara had a tower. Afterwards, by 1396 DR, she owned a burro by the time she arrived at Ormpetarr.[1]
Activities[]
By 1479 DR, Finara was the owner of Finara's, an inn in Ormpetarr, and a fringe member of the Order of Blue Fire.[2]
History[]
Before the Spellplague, Finara had been a mage, living in a tower; she proved unable to grasp the new make of spells after the Spellplague. Determined to regain her magic or die trying, she headed for Ormpetarr, looking to acquire a spellscar of her own. There, she joined Hadyn and Raidon Kane at some point in 1396 DR in a trip into the Spellscarred Land, where she brought her burro.[1]
They followed the Pilgrim's Path across the Granite Vortex, deciding to cross the bridge that led through it.[1] When Hadyn was slain by the spellscarred land, she decided not to finish the trip, and went back with her burro; only Raidon Kane persevered.[3] By 1479 DR, she had made it back to Ormpetarr, where she opened an inn, Finara's.[2]
