Fire trap was both an abjuration and evocation spell that could be used on any closeable item, installing a trap that caused a small fiery explosion upon unauthorized entry.[2][3][4]
History[]
This spell was invented by the arcanist and Fire Warden of Netheril Noanar in −2319 DR. It was the first of his many fire-based spells, and originally called Noanar's trap.[1][8]
