The Fist of the North possessed a potent +3 enchantment that increased the weapon's damage and guided the wielder's hand to ward the targets. The mace's magic made it deadly when used against orcs and ogres, dealing additional damage to them in addition to being scorched by radiant energy.[1]

By the late 15th century DR, the Fist of the North was known to had turned the tide in many battles against orcs and ogres. The weapon was seen in many hands across the Neverwinter Wood, the Goblin Forest, the Crags, the Sword Mountains, [1]
