Flight lances were a variety of lance found in the Realms.[4][5]
Description[]
These lances were made of tough wood, had sharp stone heads, and fletched ends.[4] They were fletched at the end in order to aid in aerodynamics.[5] They typically measured 10 feet (3 meters) in length.[4][5]
Weaponology[]
Flight lances were typically used in aerial charges, hurled like a javelin at the bottom of swoop maneuvers to impale a target. They could also be used in close-quarters, much like a shortspear.[5]
