The Forgotten Realms Wiki uses one article for each year, and the default measure of time is Dale reckoning, or DR. An article on a particular year will look different to a typical article on another topic, and will be split into sections based on types of event. Each section contains one or more events of the appropriate type, so it is easy to find, for example, all the conflicts that occurred in 456 DR (if any).
If you have a particular need to display a year in a reckoning system other than DR, you can provide a link to the appropriate year in DR, and display the alternate reckoning on-screen. For example, [[-408 DR|1696 MC]] will show "1696 MC" on the screen, but still link to the -408 DR article, which is the equivalent year.
