With the new adventure Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus slated to be released on 17th September 2019, it's worthwhile us developing the main topics of the module beforehand, to make the wiki a useful reference for those running it and to lay groundwork for new lore being added to the wiki, as well as save work fixing stuff up later on. These should be things confirmed or expected to appear in Descent into Avernus or which appeared in the D&D Live 2019 "The Descent" games—broadly devils, the Nine Hells, and Baldur's Gate.

This follows on from discussion on Slack and broadly formalizes and continues the article development that began with lore-tweeting from the new Twitter account during D&D Live 2019. It's also somewhat inspired by the old Horde Editing proposal, but with a narrower focus and less pesky organization.

The aim is to ensure that all the following articles exist on the wiki, are in good shape, and are more-or-less complete and up-to-date. Simply pick one, declare it, work it up as best you can, and confirm it here. If there's anything that should appear, feel free to add or suggest it. If there's no reason to include it, say that also. — BadCatMan (talk) 06:22, May 20, 2019 (UTC)

With topics like the cities and the planes, there are many possible locations, groups, and NPCs within them that could also be added.

DiscussionEdit

Finishing up the weekend's work, I've done all that can be said on wereboars. Also, I revised this so we can post discussion below.

I think that having full articles for all the other layers of Baator is relevant, even if the adventure takes place mostly in Avernus, because PCs might end up interacting with them and DMs might want to look up some lore on the surroundings. So I added them above as well.
