So, this happened.

A new D&D movie is underway, and it looks to be set in the Forgotten Realms. If this happens, no matter big or how well it does, this will be big for the wiki. We could see a rush of activity the likes of which we haven't seen since 4th edition.

By starting an article for it, I wanted to get in on the ground floor and get us ready for it. The article also collects together all that's currently known about the movie, so I hope it will become the first stop for fans interested in it. Hopefully, that will be a good draw for the wiki as well.

It's early days yet, but let's share some ideas on how else we can plan for the movie.

Nice work, BadCat... Please let it not be like 2000...

I'm afraid to admit it, but... I kinda liked that movie. :o

My parents bought me the DVD for no reason, so I also kind of have to like it. :) It came out before I'd gotten into D&D, so I had few expectations, while a friend was plying my with fantasy novels, including the first Dragonlance. It seemed like a decent, fun fantasy adventure. Plus, it had Doctor Who's Tom Baker as an elf king, so it was perfect to me. :D There were a few plot-holes lost in the editing though, as the deleted scenes show.

Anyway, I expect a D&D movie to be exactly as daggy and cringey as a tabletop game. :)
