Forums: Helping Hand > Miska the Wolf-Spider––does anyone have a copy before it was deleted the first time?

So, this is purely based off of memory, but until 2020, there was an alright (mostly unsourced, but it seemed pretty clear the info present was from the Heroes of Elemental Chaos book––honestly better sourced than plenty of surviving articles on deities/aspects that people keep around) page on Miska the Wolf Spider. It was deleted, then someone put random text on it, then it was deleted again––I'm just wondering, what gives? Isn't having no info on a deity worse than partial info, with maybe a banner saying the article needs to be fixed? So I'm wondering if the page could be restored by anyone who has a copy of it before the 2020 deletion.

just my 2 copper pieces: Miska the Wolf-Spider has no relation to the Realms, he is purely Greyhawk, Nentir Vale, generic settings character.-Artyom.pavlov (talk) 03:44, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
There was very little to the original Miska the Wolf-Spider article: it was a stub and completely unsourced. I did some research and couldn't find anything to corroborate what was there. Since it wasn't Realmslore that I was aware of, I concluded it wasn't worth the effort and removed it. Before the page was vandalised, it read:
Miska, the Wolf-Spider, was a demon lord who was once the Prince of Demons. He was imprisoned in Pandemonium by the Wind Dukes of Aaqa. The Queen of Chaos utterly destroyed the Prince of Demons, Obox-ob, and gave the title to Miska.
The next attempt at Miska was worse:
Miska the wolf-spider, is the lover of the Queen of Chaos
So no, there was nothing here worth preserving or that we want the wiki to stand by. Deleting it makes way for someone to work on it properly, which we would welcome, especially if it has a Realms connection. BadCatMan (talk) 04:00, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Canonicity of Eric L. Boyd conversions?

The link between Miska and the Realms is thin, and somehow feels like an oversight from the writers. The main link comes from the Vaati and Rod of Seven Parts, which are referenced in the Elemental Evil Player's Companion. The history of both the Vaati and the Rod are closely linked to Miska. However after much search, I could not find any occurrence of the Rod appearing in the Forgotten Realms.

In the same way, many references to Miska are done in setting-agnostic books like Elder Evils or the Demonomicon. I could easily compile those information and update the Miska article accordingly.

However, another source of information could be interesting: in the web supplement of "Dungeon 129 - A Gathering of Winds", Eric L. Boyd wrote a one-page conversion of the adventure to be played in the Realms, making the Wind Dukes a faction of Djinni, and replacing Miska with Memnon (efreeti). I was wondering how canonical such conversions were, and whether they should be cited in the wiki. There's already an example of such citation in the Kyuss page...
