Forums: Helping Hand > New forum post style?
I have created this style of forum post because I found that the default 'talk page style' was a bit confusing when it came to seeing where one person's message ends and another begins. What does everyone think about using this? You can view {{Forum post}} for the easy-to-use instructions.

I think you should be careful Wikia doesn't hire your ass! :P Great work as always

Thanks for the compliment! I noticed that the original template didn't leave any whitespace between forum posts, so I edited it. It should be better now

Or not! I've edited the correct bit now, so it should be better now!

I think we should stick to including, rather than substing these. True, this would require the template to always be backwards compatible, but I don't see it as too much of a burden.

The benefits:

  • easy look & feel changes to the site (a custom FR skin? :))
  • better readability when editing (without all the HTML code)

I'll see what I can do about making threads with : - doesn't work right now.

And, oh yeah, great work. :)

Yeah, agree with TOR, the html code gets to be a bit much, if some change to the template should become nesecsarry, we could always just make a v2 template, and use that instead, and leave the old one :)

Sure, not using subst: is fine by me. If we start to get people vandalizing the forum post templates, we can just protect these, I suppose
