Due to unfortunate spates of copying text directly from the sourcebooks to the wiki, the following pages need to be checked for plagiarism, that is, copyright-infringing text. This does not mean they all have plagiarism, only that their early authors had a habit of copying text, as identified from other pages. Many may have been fixed already or the author had stopped copying text before the time of writing and begun writing in their own words.

This takes some detective work. When checking an article, be sure to check the revision history to see if and when copied text was added (confirm it line by line with the source), and if it was later rewritten. Text that has been adjusted to have past tense, no crunch, an in-universe and 3rd-person POV, etc., still counts as plagiarized and needs to be treated the same way. Articles confirmed to be plagiarized should be rehabilitated (copied text rewritten or removed) or tagged with {{Plagiarism}} for later repair. Links should be removed from the lists as they are checked and tagged, repaired, or confirmed clean.

Do feel free to check other articles by these users, and to add other batches as they are found.

Deletion & History Cleaning
List articles that need to be deleted and restored to remove copied text from their revision histories here. Note that the SRD spells do not require deletion, and that articles with significant later additions should not be deleted as this will remove the history and contribution of others.

Discussion[edit source]

  • Programmed illusion rephrased - as the text was SRD, does it need history cleaning? Daranios (talk) 09:58, October 2, 2019 (UTC)
    • Did you mean permanent image? I would say no, because the text is freely available elsewhere and there are later additions by other editors to preserve. — BadCatMan (talk) 10:48, October 2, 2019 (UTC)
      • Yes, permanent image, sorry. Great, I agree. Daranios (talk) 14:02, October 2, 2019 (UTC)
