I, Regis87 of Waterdeep, do hereby declare that 2019 shall be the Year of Magic!

I invite my fellow sages to contribute to the The Missing Magic Project!

I plan on adding a ton of missing spells from FR sourcebooks in 2019. Sspells, both wizard and clerical, as well as missing magical items.

While adding indexes for various material over the past year, I have noticed a serious deficit in magic-related articles on our lovely wiki. Our wiki is one of the main Dungeons and Dragons resources on the web, and this project would be a significant asset to dungeon masters, players, and readers of the FR novels.

You can see the list here, I will be adding to the list over the next few weeks as I read the sourcebooks. Most of the current missing spells/items are from 2nd edition, but I will be adding 3rd, 4th and 5th editions. Others are welcome to help in this step.

If an admin is interested, they could added a guide on spell/item structure to the project, so the new pages are consistent with the rest of the wiki.

Thanks for reading!

Cool.

Sounds fun! This dovetails with my Project #56, so I will be working on spells from Faiths & Avatars, Powers & Pantheons, and Demihuman Deities here and there.

Oh that't awesome Lhynard! I will make sure to cross-reference with that project, and added a note to the Missing Magic for others to do the same!

I'd be happy yo contribute material from any 2e/3e sourcebooks which you may be lacking. Just let me know what areas need to be covered?

Impressive! I thought we had stacks of spell articles as it is, but I guess there's always more to find. I'll try to add a few of interest as I think of them.

We do have stacks of spell articles! According to the Spell category, there are currently 1,622 spells on the wiki, which is impressive. This project will likely push that number to over 2,000!

One of my main projects involves adding spells and magical items from video games (mainly 1e,2e). Currently finishing off the magical items from Menzoberranzan (game). So I will be unintentionally helping with this project. ;)

Possibly late to the party (well, there still are 364 days left), but I'll be happy to contribute with whatever new spell I find!
