However, I found references of them in the "Elemental Evil Players Companion" (page 4), as well as in the 5th edition Monster Manual (page 12).
Before I get into cleaning that up and adding new content, is there anything I'm unaware of that would make this content "non canon" on the Realms?
From what I can tell, the Elemental Evil Player's Companion is a canon source, so go ahead and add an article on them. There's quite a bit of lore on them in older 2e sources, by the way.
If you would like any help finding information from older sources, I could try to be of assistance.
Dragon magazine 233 has an article on it, but that might best be left ignored since it mainly offers many suggestions for how the old adventure could be converted to the Realms.
I noticed a Realms-related reference to the Wind Dukes of Aaqa while reading through Tomb of Annihilation, so I started a stub for the former (in case anyone with a better grasp of the 2e lore wants to expand it).
