From the Fields was the name given to rice softcakes, cooked to a crispy crust, then rolled in mashed potatos, onion, and eggs, and served with chopped greens of a wild spicy onion.[1]
History[]
As of the late 14th century DR, From the Fields could be found on Blackthorn's Brew's menu, a festhall on the Captain's Cliff in Velen. The dish was mentioned among other notable foods included in Volothamp Geddarm's published guide to Amn and Tethyr.[1]
