Gambit armor was a type of enchanted armor designed for those unafraid to risk their lives in battle.[1]
Description[]
Cloth or leather armor could be enchanted as gambit armor.[1]
Powers[]
While this armor provided enhanced protection, its true power lay in granting the wearer advantages in battle when their life was in particular danger. This gave them a greater change of scoring a deadly blow immediately after receiving one, and once per day, the wearer could become more dangerous at the expense of exposing themselves to greater risk of injury.[1]
Notable Owners[]
As of the Year of the Ageless One, 1479 DR,[note 1] an Executor of the Warlock Knights of Vaasa had enhanced their leather armor into gambit armor. This Executor was part of the team responsible for investigating the rejuvenated Castle Perilous.[2]
