An armar or amlar was a low-ranking member of the City Watch of Waterdeep, holding a rank equivalent to a sergeant.[3][1]
Activities[]
They typically patrolled inside the walls of Waterdeep in groups of four, with two patrolpersons, one sergeant, and one captain.[3][1]
Possessions[]
Circa 1357 DR, amlars of the City Watch typically had the standard City Watch kit of leather and chain armor, short swords, daggers, and sturdy rods like clubs.[3][2] Their uniforms always consisted of the colors green, black, and gold.[2]
Circa 1372 DR, in addition to their uniform, armars were outfitted in +1 studded leather armor, with a steel light shield, and carried a masterwork short sword and club. They also possessed a potion of cure light wounds, an oil of bless weapon, and an oil of magic weapon.[1]
