Gloomgate was a magical intelligent halberd.[note 1] which the Rotting Man bestowed upon Gameliel.[2] After his death on 1373 DR, it passed to Anammelech's hands.[1]
Description[]
Gloomgate resembled a hole in space, an utter blackness in the shape of a halberd.[3] Its voice was a whisper.[1]
Powers[]
Gloomgate was a magical, intelligent weapon, capable of teleportation on its own power, even after its wielder perished.[1] When Gloomgate struck Ususi Manaallin, it snaked out from Anammelech's hand, causing a large, bleeding wound on her side, black mist smoking out of the weapon.[2]
History[]
In 1373 DR, Gameliel had been the wielder of Gloomgate for some time; upon his death, the weapon teleported to Anammelech, explaining the situation of its previous masters' deaths.[1] Anammelech wielded it against Ususi Manaallin in their fight, revealing that he had learned of their weaknesses from the intelligent weapon.[2]
