The Golden Way was a road starting in Telflamm, a city in the nation of Thesk along the coast of the Sea of Fallen Stars. It extended eastward, through Phsant, Tammar, and other cities until it reached the shore between Lake Ashane and Lake Mulsantir. Travelers crossed via ferries to Mulsantir in Rashemen. The Golden Way continued through Rashemen and the Endless Wastes (also called Taan) all the way to the empire of Shou Lung in the distant lands of Kara-Tur. It was the primary trade route between the lands of Faerûn and Kara-Tur and the source of Thesk's wealth.[1]

In 1375 DR Hubadai Khahan ordered that the expanse of the Golden Way between Almorel and Kourmira be paved with stones to better expedite trade.[5]
