  • The High Flagon in Waterdeep offered its patrons sweet tarts with gooseberry filling.[9]
  • The Moonstone Mask festhall in Neverwinter offered palm-sized gooseberries to their patrons.[10] Elsewhere in Neverwinter, inns, taverns, and the kitchens of private homes often filled hand tarts with gooseberries.[11]
  • Gooseberries were often featured in the mixture of wild berries known as Brackleberry jam.[2]
  • Gooseberries were often used by inhabitants of Waterdeep in cooking a local delicacy known as melverfew.[12]
  • Gooseberries were one of the fruits used to make Purple Hills Cider.[7][13]
  • Gooseberries were sometimes brewed into a tea in the Dalelands, the Western Heartlands, and Waterdeep.[14]
  • Gooseberries were one of the many types of edible berries in the Realms that could be used as material components for the spell goodberry.[15]
