Greensleep mushrooms were a fungus found in the Moonsea.[1]
Description
The fungus was green color and could be ground into powder.[1]
Usage
This mushroom could cause drowsiness if consumed. Rumors spoke of agents of the Cult of the Dragon using greensleep for vile purposes.[1] When eating the mushroom, lethargy would usually set in after 2 hours.[2]
History
Around 1489 DR, the Cult of the Dragon spy Verik sought to poison the drinking water of a small village outside Phlan with ground greensleep mushrooms. He was working under the command of Ixas who was searching for a fiendish item of power.[1]
