Hargun Tamaraith was the father of Narm Tamaraith.[1][2][3]

His son, Narm Tamaraith, believed he was a ranger until he came down with the shaking fever.[1][2][3]

Hargun married Fythuera, who traded as his equal. They had one child, Narm.[1][2][3]

History[]

As of 1335 DR, 22 years prior to 1357 DR, Hargun and Fythuera's child, Narm, was born. They had been married for some time prior. While Narm was still a baby, they traveled to Triboar and then to Waterdeep, up and down the Sword Coast in search of commerce opportunities. In 1346 DR, 11 years prior to 1357 DR,[1] they were slain in Baldur's Gate while in the crossfire of a duel between Kluennh Tzarr and Algarzel Halfcloak. Hargun's last act was to hurl Narm into the river, so that he would survive the fireball.[2][3]

Legacy[]

His son Narm sought to become a master of the Art in order to avenge his parents.[1][2][3]

Rumors & Legends[]

Per Elminster, Hargun and his wife may have been Harpers.[1][2][3]

  1. He is described as a "ranger", which by 1st edition, could only be human or half-elven. As his child Narm is a human, he can safely be assumed to be a human.
